General Explanations
The V-Model regulates the IT system development by means of the uniform and binding set of activities and products (results) which are required during the System Development (SD) and the accompanying Quality Assurance (QA), Configuration Management (CM), and technical Project Management (PM).
Following pages contains explanations about the products of the V-Model.
In the V-Model, the products are regulated by a specification of binding structures. Since chapter headings are not always self-explanatory this chapter includes information about the individual contents to be expected. The character of this explanatory text for the chapters is not of a binding nature, however.
The individual product structures are specified by a structuring schema. When using tools for the generation of products, it is not always possible to observe the detailed structure. In that case the detailed structure of the products in question must be individually agreed on, whereby it is necessary to prove that the required contents are covered.
Page Layout
Each page of the project document must include the following document-related data at an appropriate location (e. g. in the upper margin):
- name of the document,
- document identification and version number,
- classification (if applicable).
