8.4.3.2 Change Proposal (CProp)

The Change Proposal comprises the technical and economic evaluation of the Change Request/Problem Report and shows the various possibilities to carry out the desired maintenance/modification.

The proposal must comprise:

• identification
  • number of the Change Proposal
  • number of the corresponding Change Request/Problem Report
  • identification of the project
  • identification of the concerned configuration
  • date
  • author

• short description of the requested change
• diagnosis and description of all possible solutions (consecutively numbered)
  • description of the recommended measures
    • entry point in the V-model (start activity)
    • extent of changes
    • kinds of changes
    • products concerned (directly and subsequently)
  • description of the effects
    • meeting the User Requirements and Technical Requirements
    • impairment of reliability, efficiency, real-time response behavior
  • evaluation
    • technical: "quality" of the solution and rationale
    • economic: effort, estimation of required resources and time, feasibility, impacts on future project development
