    Handling

    The goal of this activity is The control of the project progress is required at defined times, either periodically or after the completion of individual activities, in order to get well-founded information about the progress of the project and to detect deviations from the plan as early as possible to be able to react to it, if necessary.

    * Controlling the Progress of a Project

    The status of the tasks (reaching the specified goals and meeting the requirements) as well as the resources utilized for those tasks (actual data) have to be investigated.

    These actual data must then be compared with the planned values from the Project Plan, and with the effort yet to be invested. In this connection, it is not enough just to find out the actual status of the operative SD activities; for example the efforts of the required QA measures must also be taken into consideration. If the planned specifications are surpassed or if it seems that they will be surpassed, corresponding steering measures must be initiated.

    * Steering

    Measures are realized to make it possible to reach the endangered project goals. These also include:

    Notes:

    have to be fulfilled in the project.
