Handling

The goal of this activity is to initiate a job section by a Work Order.

The following information must be collected or referenced for the Work Order:

Job instructions (extract from Project Manual or reference to Project Manual on the activity/activities to be realized and the product(s) to be generated, the method(s) to be applied and the regulation(s) to be adhered to), ,
planned values (cost, deadline, resources) from the Project Plan,
explanations about the actual task,
characteristics to criticality, security, product structure and product environment,
relevant regulations from Project Plan and QA Plan,
need for coordination,
contacts.

Recommendation

The Work Order should be put down in writing by the project management (especially in large projects).

A job section may consist both of individual SD, QA, or CM activities and of a bundle of connected activities. Connected activities are, for example, activities for the generation of a product, like the System Architecture of submodel SD, the generation of the corresponding assessment documents in submodel QA, the assessment of the System Architecture in submodel QA, and the administration of all these products in submodel CM.
