    Handling

    The product is entered with its name; the product attributes defined in the CM Plan are entered into the product library. If the product is a System, an SW Unit or a HW Unit then the corresponding Configuration Identification Document (CID) must be subsequently initialized in CM2.2 - Configuration Initialization . Otherwise, the already existing CID has to be updated in CM2.4 - Configuration Update.

    In the case the planned project is an off-the-shelf product to be externally developed or procured, then the regulations of the product initialization and administration have similarly to be adhered to.
