ISO.2.1 Interrelation of Quality Standards

For all national and international projects that are not NATO projects, ISO 9001 can be definitely applied as the nationally and internationally valid standard. The AQAP standards are applied for NATO projects.

Figure ISO.1 shows the V-model as a basis for a quality management system that meets the ISO and AQAP standards:

The AQAP-110 standard has the same structure as the ISO 9001 and integrates it completely. Most of the ISO requirements are upgraded in the AQAP-110 with a special NATO part (the so-called "Additional NATO Requirements").

The AQAP-150 is not directly structured on ISO 9001.
