FAO.1 Preliminaries
The requirements of the Federal Audit Office (FAO) in chapter 3.1.2 ("... The principles for ensuring a uniform and systematic procedure for the realization of IT projects ... have to be handled in writing".) represent a basic requirement for a lifecycle process model. This is further stated by the documentation requirement in chapter 1.4.2 ("... The documentation must be complete and should not contain overlaps...").
However, the V-Model does not cover all requests of the FAO. It was merely conceived for the
- realization and
- maintenance and modification
Therefore, the V-Model can only be applied for the chapters
- 1.4 "Documentation",
- 2.1 "Overall Planning",
- 3 "IT Enterprises",
- 6 "Quality Assurance" and
- 7 "Security of IT Applications".
In the following, it is described how the V-Model covers the FAO requirements and which V-Model activities and products meet the FAO requirements.
In order to differentiate between the original FAO text and the comments a different font will be used.
The FAO requirements are printed in this font.
