    Dear Mailing List Members,

My name is Olman Hernandez. I am a graduate student on Software Engineering
at DePaul University located in Chicago, Illinois USA. My current course
work at DePaul is about researching the software development life cycle
    known as the V-Model.

The reason that I am writing is because in my report I want to capture the
real life experience of a practitioner, like yourselves, of this model. If
you would like to take part on this research I would appreciate if you take
a few minutes of your time in answering the questions found at the end of
this email. Feel free to add as much commentary as you wish, considering
them as open-ended questions. Also, if you would like to comment on
areas/topics that are not covered by these questions, please do so.

I respectfully request that you please return this questionnaire to me by
Friday, June 6th. This is to ensure that I can include your experiences in
my report. My email address is olmanh@rcn.com

Thanks in advance for your time and effort.

    Sincerely,

    Olman Hernández

    The “V-model” experience
1-What are some examples in which you have use the “V-model”? (project type,
    size, length)
2-In your previous examples, why was the “V-model” used instead of other
    models?
3-In your opinion, what are some advantages of this model?
4-In your opinion, what are some disadvantages of this model?
5-In what instances you would recommend using this model? (project type,
size, length, degree of team distribution, team size, other)
6-In what instances you would NOT recommend using this model? (project type,
size, length, degree of team distribution, team size, other)
7-Do you think that this model is easy to implement?
8-When people talk about software methodology the most well known processes
are waterfall, rational unified process, and extreme programming. What do
you think it would take for this model to be part of the main stream?
9-How would you rate your overall experience with this model?
    10-Any additional comments?
