It is the objective of the activity to renew the initial operation of the system and to prepare it for the acceptance test as well as for the smooth transition into cooperation with the updated IT system.

In order to support the renewed initial operation, the following measures have to be taken:

selection and supply of documentation for the new initial operation, repository data (Database systems), start parameters,
reading in the data,
renewal of initial technical operation,
registration of all data used for the renewed initial operation (parameters, files), etc.,
staff training.

All data volumes required in the updated System must be transferred from the old System. The required initial data collection must be realized.

For a certain period of time, it might be necessary that the old operating procedures are used to guarantee a smooth operation, or the old System must be used in parallel to the new System.

The old System must be removed (e. g. termination of licenses, deletion of data volumes, recycling old hardware systems) according to the legal requirements.
