| 4.18 Elementary Method "Function Net Modeling" (FNET) |
4.18 Elementarmethode "Funktionsnetz-Modellierung" (FNET)
1 Identification/Definition of the Method
2 Brief Characteristic of the Method
The objective of the Function Net Modeling (FNET) is the description of business transactions and operations by means of processes. In the function net, it is defined which functions-that are specified within the scope of the user-level decomposition or DP/SW requirements definition-are participating in a process and what are the conditions for the individual functions to be initiated and processed.
Means of Representation
The graphical representation of a function net contains
Operational Sequence
As components, the function nets contain functions of the static function tree and conditions describing the state of the object to be modeled. These conditions are evaluated by the trigger of a function and make it possible to execute this function. Depending on the result of the execution of the function, the successor conditions are set by the distributor.
3 Limits of the Methods Application
4 Specification of the Methods Allocation
| No. | Activity | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 4.1 | SD1.5 - User-Level System Structure |
The function nets are designed by taking into consideration the user requirements and the functions of the function model to be examined. The integration of quantity/time information and the allocation of organizational units make it possible to find out if organizational changes have to be expected for the future system.
The subproduct User Requirements.Description of the Functionality is described with regard to the functional sequences. |
| 4.2 | SD3.3 - Definition of Requirements for the Functionality |
The function nets now comprise the elementary functions belonging to a SW/HW Unit. The sequence-oriented requirements and the cohesion with the external interfaces (in form of external triggers) will become quite clear.
Subproduct Technical Requirements.Overall Function of Element is completely covered. |
5 Interfaces
| No. | Interface | Observation | Information in Annex 1 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5.1 | FNET-ELH | The function nets describing the possible sequences of functions in an application are balanced with the results of the basic method ELH - Entity Life History which document the permitted entity states, the permitted state transitions, and the corresponding functions responsible for this process. | 4.10 Interface ELH-FNET |
