2 Brief Characteristic of the Method
The model permits the estimation of the test effort related to the execution time in order to obtain a preset MTBF value. The execution time can then be converted into calendar time. Furthermore, the current MTBF and the number of the remaining errors can be estimated.
The model assumes that the error coverage rate is in proportion to the actual number of remaining errors.
