    2 Brief Characteristic of the Method

    In this case, the term activity refers to the state transformation of an object which requires a certain period of time. It is characterized by a start and by an end event. Only these two events are actually executed and initiate actions, the in-between time is skipped. Each activity has been allocated an entry condition and a certain time limit for that particular activity. In an activity-oriented simulation, a model is specified by means of a not further structured set of activities.
