ObservationsProcess Improvement Experiments (PIEs) aim to demonstrate the benefits of improving the software development process through user experimentation. The emphasis is on continuous improvement through small actions. An organization undertakes one process improvement step, as a controlled, limited experiment, based on an underlying baseline project. So that the results of PIEs can form software best practices, they are published by VASIE in a repository that can be searched by improvement viewpoint, manager perspective or company context.
