Definition/Use A baseline is a precisely specified set of products (documents, software and hardware) which is administered together within the configuration management at a defined time and which is a dependable basis for any (shared) further tasks.
Note: Baselines are identifying "maturity states" (requirements, solution concept, design, delivery unit) of a development object.
