provides integrated and classified information on process technologies
has a specific "Learning Technology Systems Architecture" (LTSA)
whose links are performed in a meta-level
stores the standards into meta-processes

Technical basis
GDPA is developed under the following principles:
the information is constantly updated
all internal and external links are weekly checked
the web is the database
can be completely downloaded on the client site
free of charge for non-profit use (license conditions)
completely web-based, without complex html frames
no heavy deployment on server
